광화문광장 미디어아트 기획전 '광화문을 걷다展' 공개
[이데일리 양희동 기자] 서울시는 다음달 31일까지 ‘광화문의 과거-현재-미래’ 시리즈의 두 번째 미디어 아트 기획전 ‘광화문을 걷다展(전)’을 진행한다. 전시는 광화문광장 해치마당에 설치된 53m 전광판(영상창)을 통해 매일 오전 8시부터 오후 10시까지 상영된다. 앞서 첫 기획전 ‘광화문을 보다展’은 지난해 12월 19일부터 지난 4일까지 ‘광화문의 과거’를 주제로 한 중견 작가 2인, 신진작가 5인 등의 작업을 선보인바 있다.
이번 전시는 ‘광화문의 현재’에 대하여 전문 스튜디오 작가 2인과 공모를 통해 선정된 시민 10인의 다양한 시각과 의미를 담아냈다.
시민 10인 전시는 지난 1월 18일부터 2월 8일까지 진행한 ‘광화문광장 영상창 전시콘텐츠 공모’에서 선정된 이미지에 전문 영상업체의 기술력을 더해 60초 영상작품으로 탄생시켰다. 이들 작품은 △권기웅 ‘광화만사성’ △권수형 ‘종로구에서 10년을 산 시민이 바라보는 뉴(New) 광화문광장’ △김지현 ‘지나간, 지나갈 시간을 잇다’ △서동일 ‘모란도 어사화’ △이수정 ‘열린 광장, 열린 마음’ △이윤서 ‘광화문 물결’ △정성진 ‘숨은 풍경 찾기’ △쿠레욤 ‘23가지 휴식’ △홍관우·여가은 ‘해태의 마실’ 등이다. (중략)

Media Art Exhibition “Walking Through Gwanghwamun” Unveiled at Gwanghwamun Square
[By Yang Hee-dong, Edaily] The Seoul Metropolitan Government is presenting “Walking Through Gwanghwamun,” the second exhibition in its media art series exploring “Gwanghwamun’s Past, Present, and Future,” through the 31st of next month.
The exhibition is screened daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the 53-meter-wide digital display, known as the “Media Window,” installed at Haechi Madang in Gwanghwamun Square.
The first exhibition in the series, “Seeing Gwanghwamun,” was held from December 19 of last year through the 4th of this month. Focusing on “Gwanghwamun’s Past,” it featured works by two established artists and five emerging artists.
The current exhibition explores “Gwanghwamun’s Present” through the diverse perspectives and interpretations of two professional studio artists and ten citizens selected through an open competition.
The works by the ten citizens originated from images selected through the “Gwanghwamun Square Media Window Exhibition Content Competition,” held from January 18 to February 8. With the technical support of a professional video production company, the selected images were transformed into 60-second moving-image works.
